Responsibilities of the Editor-In-Chief (EIC):
- Works closely with the ABAA to define the publication's vision, goals, scope, and strategy, ensuring alignment
with the broader academic and organizational objectives.
- Maintains and upholds the standards of editorial integrity and quality, ensuring that the content is relevant,
accurate, and contributes to the field of AI.
- Facilitates regular ABAA meetings to discuss AI Advances' progress and future initiatives.
- Leads and manages the editorial team, ensuring efficient workflow and timely publication of the content.
- Resolves any ethical issues or conflicts of interest that may arise.
- Engages with the broader community to promote the publication, solicit high-quality submissions, and encourage
collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Identifies emerging trends and topics of interest to shape AI Advances' content.
- Nominates high-quality articles for Boosting by Medium curators or features them to enhance their readership,
ensuring the authors are awarded.
Responsibilities of Managing Editors:
- Manage the review of submissions in their fields of expertise, and communicate with authors regarding
revisions and publication scheduling.
- Work closely with the EIC and other managing editors to implement the publication's editorial strategy and
ensure smooth operation and high quality of published content.
- Suggest drafts or published articles to the EIC for a potential Boost nomination.
